The 55th Wireless World Research Forum Meeting invites researchers, industry experts, visionaries and policy specialists to submit original extended abstracts addressing emerging challenges in future communication systems.
Accepted abstracts will be invited for presentation at WWRF55, held at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow from 28–30 October 2026.
Research themes
Contributions are invited across emerging technologies, network architectures and societal challenges shaping future communication systems, from resilient private networks to visionary research beyond 6G.

Intelligent, autonomous and cloud-native networks using AI, digital twins and intent-driven operation.

This list is indicative rather than exhaustive. Submissions on related future-network research topics are also encouraged.
Key stages
The submission, review and conference process follows five main stages.
End of July 2026
Registration for WWRF55 is expected to open at the end of July. Full booking details will be published on the registration page.
11 September 2026
Prepare and submit your original extended abstract through the official WWRF55 TrackChair submission system.
18 September 2026
Authors will receive notification of acceptance. Accepted abstracts will be invited for presentation at WWRF55.
13 October 2026
Authors may submit an optional full paper. A full paper is required for Best Paper Award consideration and potential publication in WWRT.
Before submitting
Please use the official templates when preparing your submission. Full paper documents are only required for authors invited to submit an extended version following abstract acceptance.
Student support
Limited travel grants are available to support student authors, with priority given to applicants from WWRF member institutions.
Recognition
A €500 Best Paper Award will be presented to an eligible full-paper submission.
Submission of a full paper is required for award consideration and potential publication in WWRT.
